X JAPAN To Headline 'Hide Memorial Summit'
April 27, 2008According to the Jrock Revolution, reactivated Japanese rockers X JAPAN will headline the 10th-anniversary edition of the annual Hide Memorial Summit, a two-day tribute festival to the band's late guitarist Hideto "Hide" Matsumoto, who committed suicide in May 1998. The event will take place at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, Japan and will feature appearances by the following artists:

As previously reported, X JAPAN will play its first-ever concert in the U.S. on September 13, 2008 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The band will also perform in Paris, France on July 5.

Performing with X JAPAN at the band's three reunion shows at the Tokyo Dome were GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Richard Fortus and former LIMP BIZKIT and current BLACK LIGHT BURNS member Wes Borland.
Fortus and fellow GN'R guitarist Robin Finck played X JAPAN's "Endless Rain" as part of their guitar duet during some of GN'R's Japanese shows in July 2007.
